Canberra: After Canada, UK and America, Khalistani poison has started spreading in Australia. Here too, Khalistani posters have been pasted on the High Commissioner and Consul General of India, on which pictures of Indian diplomats are also there. On these posters, these diplomats have been termed as the killers of Khalistani leader Nijjar. Apart from the posters, preparations have also been made for a march to the Indian Embassy in Melbourne on July 8. The information about the posters has come at a time when India’s Foreign Minister S Jaishankar has told that fellow countries have been requested not to give space to the Khalistanis.

The posters have photographs of India’s Ambassador to Australia Manpreet Vohra and Consul General Dr. Sushil Kumar. Along with this, an AK-47 has been shown which is seen attacking ‘Kill India’. On seeing the photo of the gun, one feels as if the Pakistani flag is drawn on it. Australia has become a stronghold of Khalistani activities since the beginning of this year. On January 29, there was a fight between Khalistan supporters and India supporters here in Melbourne. Khalistani supporters had gathered in the name of plebiscite for the independence of Punjab.

Such posters were also put up in Canada
The foreign minister’s remarks came after reports circulated in Canada of posters informing pro-Khalistan residents of the rally. These posters raised concerns for the Government of India as it threatened the Ambassador and the Consulate General in Toronto. In March this year, Khalistan supporters protested outside the Indian Embassy in Canada. They raised pro-Khalistan slogans and also assaulted Indian journalists present on the spot.
