Air India has been a CFM customer since 2002, when it began operating the A320 Neo aircraft powered by the CFM56-5B engine. Air India CEO and Managing Director Campbell Wilson said, “We are delighted to have signed a great deal with CFM, which will play an important role in our growth in the future. Our service agreement along with the large scale introduction of the LEAP engine will help us optimize our operations in terms of environmental footprint and operating costs while benefiting our customers. The high-bypass turbofan Leap engines manufactured by the JV will power Air India’s new fleet of 210 Airbus A320neo/A321neos and 190 Boeing 737 MAX family.

This big deal between Air India and CFM has created panic in the entire aviation industry. Indigo also did a big deal in June
On the one hand, the airlines are facing problems in the Indian market for the last few years. At the same time, in the month of June, IndiGo Airlines did a big deal. The company has announced the purchase of 500 Airbus A320 aircraft. This is the biggest order given by any Indian aviation company together. This historic deal has happened between Indigo and Airbus. IndiGo said that the delivery of the Airbus is expected between 2023 and 2035. For this, the board of Indigo has approved a fund of $ 50 billion.
