Air India, Italy’s ITA resume flights to Israel

Jerusalem (Uttam Hindu News): Air India and Italy’s Italia Trasporto Aereo (ITA) have resumed their flights to Israel. Air India partially resumed its flights on the route between Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi and Ben Gurion Airport near Tel Aviv, Air India said in its statement on Monday. Additionally, the Italian airline restarted its operations in Israel with three weekly flights between Rome’s Fiumicino Airport and Tel Aviv.
ITA said in a statement that it was able to resume flights between Tel Aviv and Rome only with the cooperation of Italian and Israeli authorities. Recently, three other major airlines, British Airways, Spain’s Iberia and Dutch airline KLM, on April 1. has announced the resumption of its flights to Israel. It is noteworthy that, after the outbreak of Israel-Hamas conflict in October last year, flights were suspended.
