New Delhi. Ajanta Pharma is specifically focusing on select geographies with high growth potential in Asia and Africa as part of its expansion plans. The company in its annual report for 2022-23 said it is gearing up to grow rapidly in countries where it has a presence with branded generic claims. We have gained strong positions in several markets, and now our strategy is to focus on select countries with high growth potential, Ajanta Pharma told its shareholders.
According to the annual report, these regions could be big markets for branded generic drugs, but for now the company’s presence here remains small. We plan to increase our presence in these markets and address the needs of patients through our product portfolio, the drug company said. Branded generic drugs will account for 73 per cent of the company’s total business by 2023.
