Shoals: A man was killed and his wife injured when a house was hit by a tornado in Indiana, while two people were killed when a tree fell on a house in Arkansas. Bad weather continues to wreak havoc in many provinces of Central America. The tornado reached The Shoals on Sunday evening and moved through a rural area in Martinie County in southern Indiana. Cameron Wolf, managing director of the Martini County Department of Emergency Services, said the injured woman was airlifted to a hospital in Indiana.
Wolf said that ‘the couple’s house has been completely destroyed, while they had a shop a few feet away from it, which is absolutely safe. It didn’t do any damage in the slightest.” Another tornado hit the Greenwood and Bazarsville areas of suburban Indianapolis on Sunday afternoon, officials said. At least 75 homes suffered moderate to severe damage, said Bazaarsville Fire Chief Eric Funkhouser. He, however, added that there was no report of any casualty to the staff.
Sheriff’s officials in Arkansas said a tree fell on a house in Carlisle on Sunday night, killing two people and injuring another. Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders has declared a state of emergency, citing several downed power lines in the state. According to the National Guard, drinking water is being provided to the community living in West Helena in eastern Arkansas after water supply services were out overnight. Strong winds have left thousands of homes and businesses without power in Arkansas, Michigan and Tennessee.
