Amul Hikes Milk Price | A big shock to inflation, Amul increased the price of milk by Rs 3 per liter

Gujarat dairy cooperative Amul has announced a hike of up to Rs 3 per liter on fresh milk with effect from today. After this revision, the price of Amul Gold will be Rs 66 per litre. Amul said in a statement on Thursday thatAmul fresh Rs 54 per litre, Amul cow milk Rs 56 per liter and Amul A2 buffalo milk will now cost Rs 70 per litre.

The Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF), which markets its dairy products under the Amul brand, had last increased the prices of its Gold, Taza and Shakti milk brands by Rs 2 per liter in October.

We would like to inform you that the price of Amul pouch milk (all variants) has been increased with effect from February 3, the marketing federation said in a statement. The increase in prices was due to increase in the overall cost of operation and production of milk. Amul had said that the cost of cattle feed alone has gone up by almost 20 per cent.
