In the lecture, he recounted the moment when his youngest daughter suffered a hand injury and how he visited different countries for her treatment. At the end of his address, he turns it into an inspiring lesson on how to find solutions to any problem.

In his address, he told that his daughter’s hand got injured due to the broken glass and she needed microsurgery. Although he went to renowned surgeons in Paris and London for treatment, the successful operation was ultimately performed by Dr. Joshi, a surgeon from Mumbai.
“After the surgery, they inserted a simple metal eye hook into my daughter’s small nail, like you would find in a blouse,” said Anand Mahindra. She then explained how Dr. Joshi used an eye hook, which helped her daughter move her fingers.
What lesson did Anand Mahindra learn from this?
“I told and repeated this story because it taught me a powerful lesson. Let us look for solutions around us, before you think that the best solution is abroad,” Mahindra said in the video.
