Now it is being told that thousands of houses are being built by the company. According to the report of ET, Apple Ecosystem is soon preparing to work on industrial housing on the lines of China and Vietnam. Foxconn, Tata Electronics, Celcomp and Apple are planning to build houses for their respective employees. It is being told that all these houses will be built on Public Private Partnership i.e. PPP model.
58 thousand houses will be built in Tamil Nadu
According to the report, there is a plan to build 78 thousand houses in the entire country. In this, maximum number of houses are going to be built in Tamil Nadu. 58 thousand houses are going to be built there alone. Most of the houses are being constructed by the State Industries Promotion Corporation of Tamil Nadu. Apart from this, Tata Group and SPR India are also going to construct houses. Let us tell you that before India, it was also seen in China and Vietnam that after starting manufacturing, Apple had built industrial housing there.

Central government will also help
10 to 15 percent of the cost of the houses being built by Apple will be provided by the Central Government. Subsequent costs will be borne by the state government and the company. It is expected that construction of houses can start this year itself. This will be of great help to thousands of migrant workers working with Apple’s contract manufacturers. An official associated with the company said that the objective of the employee housing initiative is to increase efficiency and provide security. The biggest beneficiaries of this will be the migrant women employees, mostly those in the age group of 19-24. At present, most of the employees live in rented accommodation and have to take long bus journeys to reach the factories.
