Meanwhile, a delegation of Apple Inc’s partner Hon Hai Technology Group (Foxconn) reached Bengaluru on Friday and met Karnataka Information Technology Minister CN Ashwath Narayan. The delegation was led by company chairman Yong Liu. According to a statement from the minister’s office, the delegation was taken to inspect the land for setting up a manufacturing unit for Apple phones in the state. The statement quoted Liu as saying that Bengaluru is a preferred destination for global companies and has been a leader in attracting investment.
