Australia: Indian citizen dies in floods in Queensland

The Indian High Commission expressed condolences and said that it is in touch with the victim’s family and is providing all possible assistance.
The Indian High Commission posted on Twitter, “Heartbreaking tragedy in Australia: An Indian citizen lost his life in a flood incident near Mount Isa, Queensland. Deepest condolences to the family of the deceased. The team is in touch with the family of the deceased for all necessary assistance.”
The name of the victim has not been released by the officer.
A 28-year-old woman was found dead inside a car partially submerged in floodwaters in Queensland on Friday, local media reported.
Australia’s Bureau of Meteorology has issued severe thunderstorm warnings for parts of Queensland, including heavy rain warnings for Logan, Redlands City and parts of Brisbane.
According to the latest update from the Bureau, there is a possibility of heavy rain due to strong thunderstorm, which may cause flash floods in some parts of the state.
