Balochistan Attack Pakistan: Chinese run away from Balochistan or else… why is China protesting

Balochs have destroyed the convoy of Chinese in Pakistan. Now again a big statement has been made about China. Due to which Pakistan and China have lost sleep. In fact, the BLA had attacked a convoy of Chinese engineers in Gwadar, Balochistan. There is news of the death of 4 Chinese citizens in this attack. The PLA itself has confirmed the attack. The Balochis told the Chinese to leave as soon as possible.

China’s eye on Balochistan

Balochistan is the least populated province of Pakistan, but extremely rich in mineral resources. The Baloch people have long been complaining that they do not get their fair share of the profits of the province. Because of this, many separatist groups have been formed there. The CPEC project is the foundation of China’s massive Belt and Road Initiative. It is a project connecting China’s western Xinjiang province to the Gwadar port in the southwest.

Why is China protesting

The people of Balochistan have been opposing the Chinese Corridor since the beginning. The tribal community there is afraid that the demography of the place will be affected if outsiders settle here. The exploitation of this mineral rich area will only benefit the elite class that dominates the politics of Pakistan. Baloch rebels are also at risk of weakening their movement due to outside interference, so they are also targeting Chinese engineers working on the project. China is troubled by the delay in the project and the rising cost due to frequent attacks. It is also in the process of deploying the Chinese Army for the security of its citizens, for which Pakistan is not getting ready.
