In fact, the Reserve Bank of India has made several changes in the rules related to keeping lockers in banks. Its last date has been extended from 30 June to 31 December 2023.
Keep these things in mind for bank locker
RBI has extended the last date for signing new agreements for bank lockers to 31 December 2023.
The target is to get 50 per cent new agreements for bank lockers signed by 30 June, 75 per cent by 30 September and 100 per cent by 31 December 2023.
These rules are applicable from January 1, 2022 for new bank locker customers. While the last date for signing new agreements for old customers of banks has been extended to 31 December 2023.
