New Delhi. Public sector Bank of Maharashtra (BoM) on Sunday announced a cut in interest rates on home loans. The bank has reduced the interest rate on home loans to 8.4 per cent from the existing 8.6 per cent. The bank said in a statement that the new rates will be effective from March 13, 2023. With an interest rate of 8.4 per cent, this home loan is one of the cheapest home loans in the banking sector. The bank also offers special interest rates to defense personnel, paramilitary forces, according to the statement.
Also giving full waiver of processing fee on gold, home and car loans. Last week, public sector Bank of Baroda also cut home loan interest rate by 0.40 per cent to 8.5 per cent. The bank had also reduced the rates of interest on MSME loans. The bank will start charging interest at the rate of 8.4 percent on MSME loans. BoB had said in a statement that both the changes in interest rates would be effective from March 5, 2023 to March 31, 2023 only.
