MUMBAI: A passenger on board an Air India flight from London to Mumbai was handed over to security personnel for allegedly smoking and behaving rudely in the toilet. The airline gave this information on Sunday. Air India said in a statement that the incident, which took place on March 10, has been reported to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). Air India said, “On March 10, a passenger on our London-Mumbai flight AI130 was found smoking in the toilet. Thereafter, despite repeated warnings, he behaved rudely and aggressively.” He was handed over to the security personnel when the plane reached Mumbai. “The regulator has been duly informed about the incident,” the airline said.
The statement said, “We are fully cooperating with the ongoing investigation in the matter.” Was punished for not reporting two separate incidents of rude behavior. Air India follows a zero-tolerance policy towards any behavior that compromises the safety of passengers and employees, the airline said in a statement on Sunday.
