islamabad (Best Hindu News): The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Friday granted bail to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan in all cases including the Al-Qadir Trust case. The court has also stayed the arrest of Imran Khan till May 17. During the proceedings, Imran Khan warned of unrest across the country following his arrest. According to Geo News, in the first session of the hearing, a two-member special bench of the Islamabad High Court left the courtroom adjourning the hearing on Khan’s bail plea soon after slogans were raised in favor of the former prime minister.
The Islamabad High Court took up Imran Khan’s bail plea a day after the Supreme Court declared the former prime minister’s arrest illegal in the Al-Qadir Trust case. When Khan was asked whether he expected to be arrested? To this he replied that I was 100 per cent sure that I would be arrested.
Following this, the court room reverberated with slogans in favor of the PTI chief. The court staff tried to stop the sloganeering, however, they failed to do so. To this, Justice Miangul Hasan Aurangzeb said that this is unacceptable. After this, the hearing was adjourned for some time for Friday prayers. According to Geo News, Imran Khan reached the High Court in a high security convoy where hundreds of policemen and paramilitary forces have been deployed.
