Sahara Refund Portal: The wait of the investors of Sahara India is about to end. Union Cooperative Minister Amit Shah (Amit shah) has transferred the first installment of Rs 10,000 to the accounts of 112 people. He told on this occasion that so far 18 lakh people have applied for refund. This portal was started on 18 July. After releasing the funds, he said that till now 18 lakh investors have registered on the portal. Today, about Rs 10,000 has been transferred to each of the bank accounts of 112 investors. The next installment of funds will be transferred as soon as the audit is completed. Congratulating the depositors, he said that I want to assure and I am sure that in the coming days all the depositors will get their money. Amit Shah said that it is the responsibility of the government to ensure that investors’ money is safe and they get it back.
Money will be returned in nine months
Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah said that the depositors of Sahara were not getting their money back for the last 12-15 years due to management’s mistake and delay in court cases. Referring to the cooperative ministry’s efforts to secure Rs 5,000 crore from the SEBI-Sahara fund, Shah said the ministry took the initiative to bring together all relevant government bodies, including the CBI and the Income Tax Department, on the issue. Along with this, an appeal was made to the Supreme Court that small investors should get the first right on the money. He said that if we have to strengthen the cooperative movement in the country, then we have to strengthen the trust in cooperatives. The government had said on March 29 that the money would be returned to the 10 crore investors of the four cooperatives within nine months.

Through the portal launched by the central government, only the investors of four co-operative societies of Sahara group will get their money back. Only those investors can apply for refund through the portal who had invested in Sahara Credit Cooperative Society Limited, Saharayan Universal Multipurpose Society Limited, Hamara India Credit Cooperative Society Limited and Stars Multipurpose Cooperative Society Limited. Before applying, the investor has to know in which committee of Sahara group the money is invested. Also, the applicant should have all the documents related to it. In Sahara Credit Cooperative Society Limited, Saharayan Universal Multipurpose Society Limited, Hamara India Credit Cooperative Society Limited, the depositor’s money will be returned which was deposited before March 22, 2022. Whereas, investors of Stars Multipurpose Co-operative Society Limited Hyderabad can apply before 29 March 2023.
when will i get full money back
People investing in Sahara India will first have to register by visiting the launch site by the government. From where a message will be sent to their mobile number. After this, their claim will be verified by Sahara Society within 30 days. After this, action will be taken by the government officials on this within 15 days. After the investor’s claim is approved, the amount will be sent directly to the account linked to the Aadhaar number.
What is the complete process of refunding the money
Collect all your documents before applying for Sahara’s investor refund. anymore Go to the portal. Register yourself by giving the requested information here. After this enter your Aadhaar number and the mobile number linked to it. After that click on Send OTP given below. Enter the OTP received on the mobile. On completion of registration, again go to investor login. Here again enter the mobile number and Aadhaar number. Enter the OTP received on the mobile. Then click on I agree. Give the complete information sought related to you and being a member of the society. If the claim amount is above 50 thousand, then also enter the PAN number. The last date for making claims has not yet been released by the government. In such a situation, the applicants can easily claim their investment now by submitting all the papers.
