How much will dearness allowance increase?

At present, government employees and pensioners in Bihar get 42 percent dearness allowance. At the same time, after the government has increased the DA, there will be an increase of about 4 percent in the salary of the state employees, after which the allowance given to the employees will increase to 46 percent.

Now understand how much the salary will increase…

If your basic salary is Rs 30,000 per month, then according to 42 percent dearness allowance, you get DA of Rs 12,600. Now if the state government increases the allowance by four percent, then on the basic salary of Rs 30,000, DA will be Rs 13,800 as per 46 percent dearness allowance. That means if your basic salary is Rs 30,000 then your salary will increase by four percent.

How many state employees will benefit?

If the Bihar government decides to increase the dearness allowance in the next cabinet meeting, then more than five lakh employees of the state will benefit from it. After the proposal to increase DA is approved, this benefit can be given to the employees from July 2023. Also, there is a possibility of getting arrears along with December salary.

Earlier in April DA was increased

Let us tell you that on October 18, the Central Government had increased the dearness allowance of employees and pensioners by four percent. The Central Government has implemented this dearness allowance from July 1, 2023. Now the state government is also in the mood to increase the allowance of state employees on similar lines. Earlier, Nitish government had increased the dearness allowance of state employees by four percent in the month of April.
