After that, in the eight elections held on this seat till 2014, Bharatiya Janata Party won four times, Rashtriya Lok Dal twice and Samajwadi Party and BSP won once each. According to the 2011 census, Bijnor had a population of approximately 36 lakh. According to the census, 55.18 percent Hindus and 44.04 percent Muslims live in Bijnor. Bijnor Lok Sabha constituency consists of a total of five assembly seats. These seats are Purkaji, Meerapur, Bijnor, Chandpur and Hastinapur. The by-election held in the year 1985 was the most memorable, in which three stalwarts contested. In this election, Meira Kumar of Congress was elected MP from here for the first time. He defeated Lok Dal candidate Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan. BSP supremo Mayawati contested the elections as an independent candidate and stood third. Mayawati’s star rose in the 1989 Lok Sabha elections. She won and reached the Lok Sabha for the first time. In the year 1991, Mayawati again had to face defeat. Mangalram Premi of BJP defeated him.

In 2019, where the joint candidate of Rashtriya Lok Dal, Samajwadi Party and BSP was in the fray, BJP and Congress were fighting separately. In the 2019 elections, Maluk Nagar of BSP won this seat by 5,56,556 votes. . Bharatendra Singh of BJP stood second with 4,86,362 votes and Naseemuddin Siddiqui of Congress stood third with 25,833 votes. Whereas in 2014, BJP’s Kunwar Bharatendra Singh won the seat by securing 486,913 votes, which was about 45.9 percent of the vote share. Then Shahnawaz Rana of Samajwadi Party stood second by getting 281,136 votes. But this time there is a political alliance between RLD-BJP, Congress and SP. BSP is contesting the elections alone. Bijnor seat has been a hot seat. BSP chief Mayawati won the elections from here for the first time and reached the Lok Sabha. BSP candidate Moolak Nagar had won in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, in this election BSP has canceled his ticket and in his place has given ticket to Vijendra Singh, who recently left RLD and joined BSP.

BSP candidate Vijendra Singh said that we do not believe in the politics of allegations and counter-allegations, nor do we believe in the politics of revenge. We do not want to involve the youth in Hindu-Muslim politics. Our elders used to say – You will neither become a Hindu nor a Muslim, you are the child of a human being, you will become a human being. Whereas SP candidate Deepak Saini said that thanks to National President Akhilesh Yadav, the matter of cutting the ticket is his decision. I respect him. SP candidate Deepak Saini’s father is the current MLA of Samajwadi Party. We asked him that BJP attacks nepotism, you yourself are the son of an MLA and got the MP ticket. Father is an MLA, it does not mean that we are not capable, we are capable. Come from backward class. Constantly work in backward class. Jayant Chaudhary has expressed confidence in Chandan Chauhan on the Bijnor seat which went to RLD under the RLD-BJP alliance.
