Pakistan Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto to attend Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) foreign ministers’ meeting Zardari is on a tour of India. This meeting is happening in Goa. Shehbaz Sharif said that we are all for connectivity, trade and understanding based on mutually beneficial cooperation. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will attend an important multilateral meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) to be held in Goa on May 4 and 5. Bilawal will be the first Foreign Minister of Pakistan to visit India since 2011. Before leaving for India, Bilawal had said that my decision to participate in this meeting reflects Pakistan’s strong commitment to the Charter of the SCO. I look forward to constructive discussions with my counterparts from friendly countries.
Pakistan’s Foreign Office recently said that Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will also meet his counterparts from friendly countries on the sidelines of the SCO-CFM in India. He had said that there is no proposed meeting of Pakistan’s foreign minister with his Indian counterpart. Before Bilawal, Hina Rabbani Khar had traveled to India in 2011 as Pakistan’s foreign minister for peace talks. Apart from India and Pakistan, China, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan are the member states of SCO.
