Blinken will reiterate commitment to strengthen bilateral ties on India visit: White House

Washington. The White House on Wednesday said that during his three-day visit to India, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken will reiterate his commitment to strengthen bilateral ties. Blinken (60) arrived in New Delhi on Wednesday night after his West Asia tour. He is mainly in India to attend the Foreign Ministers’ meeting of G-20 countries, on the sidelines of which he will hold a meeting with his counterparts from Quad countries and will also participate in a panel discussion with them.
The ‘Quad’ includes the US, India, Australia and Japan. “Secretary Blinken will reiterate his commitment to strengthening the US-India relationship and support the creation of groups such as the Quad to advance economic growth and expand cooperation between the two countries,” the White House press secretary said at a press conference in Washington. I will also express our commitment to continue working together.

Blinken will also hold bilateral talks with External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar. As Blinken arrived in New Delhi, his deputy spokesman Vedant Patel said, “Namaste India.” Have arrived in New Delhi for a partnership which is founded on our shared values, including our commitment to democracy and the rules-based international system.
