Bloody clash in Ajnala

When Amritpal Singh, the head of ‘Waris Punjab De’ organization and his supporters marched towards Ajnala police station carrying Shri Guru Granth Sahib in a palanquin, the Punjab Police stopped that palanquin near the barricading, then Amritpal Singh and his supporters carried the palanquin. Insisted on taking him forward and on this issue there was a clash between the police and Amritpal Singh and his supporters. 6 police personnel were injured in this clash.

Demanding the release of their accomplice Lovepreet Singh alias Toofan arrested in the case of assault and kidnapping, these separatist elements broke the barricades and captured the police station, waving swords and raising Khalistani slogans. Amritpal Singh, head of an organization named ‘Waris Punjab De’, while talking to reporters at the police station, issued an ‘ultimatum’ for the release of his supporter Lovepreet Singh alias Toofan. Significantly, a case was registered against Amritpal Singh and his supporters for the alleged abduction and assault of Varinder Singh, a resident of village Salempur in Chamkaur Sahib district of Rupnagar. In his complaint, Varinder Singh told the police that Amritpal Singh’s accomplices abducted him at Ajnala and took him to an undisclosed location where he was brutally assaulted.

After the meeting of Amritpal Singh and his supporters with the police officers, the police announced the release of Lovepreet Singh alias Toofan and the matter was pacified. The above case has reminded Punjab and the countrymen of the 1980s, when Punjab had to bear a great pain due to the political compulsions of the governments of that time.

Seeing the positive policy that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has adopted for Punjab, especially towards the Sikh community, and the increasing stature and importance of India at the international level, the anti-India forces are not able to tolerate, that is why today they are supporting Sikh for Justice and other such organizations. By giving their support to the BJP, they are again trying to vitiate the atmosphere in Punjab and the country.

Apart from Pakistan, China, many countries including England, Canada, Australia, America and Germany are giving protection and support to those who follow the path of separatism and terrorism. In view of the above facts, the bloody clash in Ajnala needs to be taken very seriously by the government of the state and the country, because both the governments are on their target.
