If seen, it was already believed about the almost decade old Aam Aadmi Party that it would not be able to handle the sensitive issues related to this important border state properly. All those apprehensions are turning out to be true in a way.

The scenes seen a day ago in Ajnala, Punjab were not the trailer of RRR movie or Bahubali Part-3 movie. That was the scene of thousands of armed supporters of Jathedar Amritpal Singh of pro-Khalistan organization ‘Waris Punjab De’ occupying the police station in the town. These armed people also succeeded in making the Punjab government and the police bow down to free their comrade Lovepreet Singh Toofan. If seen, this whole incident is a serious challenge for law and order as well as for the entire state, so it cannot be taken lightly. Along with this, a video is being circulated on social media with the claim that it is from Punjab where a man’s fingers were publicly chopped off in Taliban style for complaining to the police. These incidents are not ordinary criminal incidents, but are worrying incidents for the country. Punjab had come out of the clutches of terrorism with great difficulty, but today again conspiracies are being hatched to spoil the condition of this happy state and the state government is unable to do anything.

If seen, it was already believed about the almost decade old Aam Aadmi Party that it would not be able to handle the sensitive issues related to this important border state properly. All those apprehensions are turning out to be true in a way. Let us remind you that former Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh and many experts had warned at the time of assembly elections that a sensitive state like Punjab, which is a victim of Pakistan-sponsored terrorism, is not free from danger in the hands of inexperienced leadership. The way a mob of fanatics armed with guns and swords created ruckus in the police station, it is becoming clear that what is the condition of law and order in Punjab.

Many serious questions have arisen in this whole episode. The way they have bowed down before the armed men, won’t it embolden the chaotic elements? The way the policemen were attacked and no action was taken against the accused, will it not lower the morale of the policemen? As far as Amritpal Singh is concerned, why is action not being taken against him despite knowing that he is pushing Sikh youth on the path of radicalism? The question also arises that why Khalistani elements are dominating since the formation of the Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab? It is not that the armed mob attacked only the police station in Ajnala. Similar violence has been seen in Mohali in the past for the release of prisoners, in such a situation, the question arises whether the state government will continue to surrender only to handle the situation? The way Lovepreet Toofan has been released after getting a clean chit despite all the allegations, will it not encourage him to break the rules even further?

However, such increasing incidents in Punjab have now become a political issue as well. The opposition BJP has surrounded the state government on this issue. Describing the Bhagwant Mann government as a failure on every front, Punjab BJP chief spokesperson Anil Sarin alleged that the Aam Aadmi Party government is not able to handle the situation in the state. On the other hand, another senior BJP leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa alleges that Kejriwal has pushed Punjab towards Taliban rule due to the greed of his political aspirations. They say that the law and order situation in Punjab is completely over and now there is complete jungle rule in the state. While sharing a video, he has said that after watching this horrifying video, there is fear about the future of Punjab.
