Boat co-founder Aman Gupta said the Indian market is growing at a good pace

Aman Gupta, however, said on his debut in the international market that it would be decided after the financial year 2024-25. He added that international projects are in the works, but for now the company’s main focus this year is to strengthen its position in the smartwatch segment.

New Delhi. Aman Gupta, co-founder of Boat, a company that manufactures audio and wearable devices in India, said that this market in India is growing at a good pace, which is giving impetus to Boat’s plans to increase revenue and production. Aman Gupta, however, said on his debut in the international market that it would be decided after the financial year 2024-25. He added that international projects are in the works, but for now the company’s main focus this year is to strengthen its position in the smartwatch segment.

Gupta told PTI, “Our emphasis this year is not on the international market. We are laying the groundwork so that by next year we can reach the international market.” Boat is targeting total gross sales of Rs 5,000 crore in the current financial year. He said, “The market is growing at a very good pace. While we are the market leader in the audio segment, in the wearable segment we are competing with various players and this is a dynamic segment. The smartwatch market is growing at a good pace and is our main focus right now.” In the last financial year, the total sales of boats were around Rs 4,000 crore.
