Both Presidents sent congratulatory messages on the opening ceremony of China’s “Kazakhstan Tourism Year” – Dainik Savera Times

On March 29, Chinese President Xi Jinping and Kazakh President Kassym Jomart Tokayev respectively sent congratulatory messages on the opening ceremony of China’s “Kazakhstan Tourism Year” of 2024. Xi Jinping said that China and Kazakhstan are good neighbors, good friends and good partners. The peoples of the two countries have a history of thousands of years of friendly exchanges and have jointly written the beautiful poem of exchange and mutual learning between civilizations along the ancient Silk Road.

In 2013, I first proposed the initiative for joint construction of the “Silk Road Economic Belt” in Kazakhstan. For more than 10 years, the two countries have focused on promoting the joint construction of the “Belt and Road” and achieved fruitful results in cooperation in various fields, benefiting the people of both countries. Xi Jinping stressed that cultural exchange and tourism cooperation is an important bridge between the peoples of China and Kazakhstan.

Last year, President Tokayev and I jointly declared 2024 as the Year of China-Kazakhstan Tourism. It is hoped that the two countries will take advantage of the Tourism Year to deepen tourism cooperation, enhance personnel exchanges, continue the millennium friendship, and work together to create a new “golden thirty years” of China-Kazakhstan relations .
