New Delhi (Best Hindu News): Britain’s MP Bob Blackman has expressed indignation over the attack by Khalistani supporters on the Indian High Commission in Din. Warning the Khalistani supporters, MP Bob has asked the London Police to take strict action against them. Bob said, ‘There is a very small section of the Sikh community that supports Khalistan. The vast majority of Sikhs in this country completely reject the Khalistani project and ideology…and we know this. My message to the police is simple and clear. When this happens (attack on Indian community or embassy by Khalistani supporters) arrest those people and teach them a lesson.
Let us tell you that on Sunday, a group of protesters waving Khalistani flags and raising pro-Khalistani slogans tried to bring down the tricolor hoisted over the Indian High Commission in London. High Commission officials said the attempt by the protesters failed and the tricolor was flying proudly. London police ‘Scotland Yard’ said it has received information about an incident in the area but has not yet issued an official statement.
Meanwhile, India lodged a strong protest with the British government regarding the security of its High Commission and questioned the lack of proper security arrangements in the premises. Pictures of broken windows and people climbing onto the ‘India House’ building have surfaced on social media. Video from the scene shows an Indian official grabbing a flag from a protester from a first-floor window of the High Commission, while the protester is seen waving a Khalistan flag.
An explanation was sought from the UK for the absence of security arrangements that allowed these elements to enter the High Commission premises, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement. In this regard, he was reminded of the basic obligations of the UK Government under the Vienna Convention. Banned terrorist organization Sikhs for Justice is holding a so-called “Referendum 2020” in Punjab amid crackdown on pro-Khalistan leader Amritpal Singh.
