When asked about this, Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Arjun Ram Meghwal told the language that in the first part of the budget session, the President’s address and the motion of thanks on his address will be discussed. General budget will be presented. This is a very important session, we seek cooperation of all parties. Regarding the issues raised by the opposition parties, he said that the issues of the opposition are discussed in the Business Advisory Committee and are taken up as per the rules.

The government will present the Economic Survey on January 31 itself. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the Union Budget for the financial year 2023-24 on February 1, 2023. The first phase of the budget session will run till 13 February, while the second phase will start from 13 March till 6 April. There will be 27 meetings during the budget session.
The President’s speech will be held in the central hall of the old Parliament House.
Earlier such speculations were being made that the joint address of the President would be held in the new Parliament House on the first day of the budget session. However, putting an end to all the speculations, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla has recently informed by tweeting that the work of the new Parliament House is still going on. He said that in such a situation, the President’s address will be held in the Central Hall of the old Parliament House only. The Bills are less likely to be discussed and passed in the first phase of the budget session of Parliament. However, many important bills can be introduced in the second phase of the session.
