Building a culture of peace requires comprehensive education, culture, society and civic action. Everyone gets a chance to learn and share. Building a culture of peace concerns all people, which is a fair global strategy.
Peace means no differences or encounters. It is also an active, dynamic and participatory process having intrinsic links with democracy, justice and people’s development. Through this process, differences are respected, dialogue is encouraged, encounters are continually transformed in non-violent ways, and ultimately new opportunities for collaboration are discovered.
Peace culture is the value concept, attitude, traditional customs, behavior patterns and lifestyle, which respects life, mankind and human rights, rejects all forms of violence, recognizes equal rights of men and women . Under this, differences between countries, races, religions, cultures, groups and people are respected and explained to each other.
UNESCO and the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations play an important role in enhancing cultural exchange. The culture of peace has been enhanced by organizing programs related to the culture of peace and non-violence.
