Soundararajan said, “There is an urgent need for this law. Cases of discrimination against the Asian-American community are quite high in California. Therefore, we have gathered here to demand our freedom.” Provincial Senator Ayesha Wahab introduced the bill last month. Ayesha Wahab is the first Muslim and the first Afghan-American woman to be elected to the California Senate. Prominent Indian-American hotel and temple organizations have opposed the bill, saying that if it becomes law, the number of lawsuits filed against temples and small businesses alleging caste discrimination will increase, affecting their image and business Will happen.
