Sana (Uttam Hindu News): The British Maritime Trade Operations Agency (UKMTO) said a cargo ship was targeted and damaged by a missile strike in the Red Sea late on Sunday night as part of the US-British coalition to protect waterways. This happened despite several preventive attacks. UKMTO, which monitors international shipping, said on Friday that the attack occurred while the ship was 35 nautical miles south of Al-Muqqa, south of the Houthi-controlled port city of Hodeidah.
“The shipowner reported the damage,” the agency said. All crew members are safe. “This is the latest attack to harm the freedom of navigation of international ships in the Red Sea.”
On the other hand, Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Sariya said on Twitter that an important statement from his group is coming soon. It is noteworthy that the US Central Command has been carrying out regular attacks in self-defense against possible Houthi attacks since January, but despite this, Houthi attacks have continued since November last year.
