The flat was later transferred to his family trust (Deepak Kochhar was its managing trustee) in October 2016 for a paltry amount of Rs 11 lakh, while its actual value in 1996 was Rs 5.25 crore. According to the CBI chargesheet, the loan given by ICICI Bank to the Videocon group had resulted in an NPA of over Rs 1,000 crore. The charge sheet, running into over 10,000 pages, was recently filed before a special court for CBI cases here. The chargesheet states that Kochhar allegedly took a “kickback” of Rs 64 crore and misused her official position, causing loss to the bank.
