China is continuously emphasizing on promoting openness. Obviously, China had opened the door of openness to the world in the last eighties, and China has no intention of closing it. It is continuously widening with the implementation of various policies. We have clearly seen that in recent months the Chinese government has repeatedly placed great emphasis on openness and innovation.

During the two sessions held in the month of March, the focus remained on openness and technological development etc. Along with this, attention has been paid to the quality development of China’s economy. Meanwhile, the General Office of China’s State Council has issued an action plan towards continuously promoting high-level opening-up. It talks about openness. According to the plan, China is ready to take comprehensive measures to attract foreign investment.

This reinforces the fact that China understands the responsibility of being an important and powerful economy at the global level. Because this action plan emphasizes that it is necessary to achieve modernization. Obviously foreign investment is a big and important force to achieve this. At the same time, foreign investment has a broader role in stimulating and promoting the general prosperity and development of China’s economy and the global economy.

However, this is not the first time that the concerned department of the Chinese government has expressed China’s wish in this regard. From time to time, the Chinese President and Prime Minister have been putting forward China’s goals and objectives on the world stage. In recent days, heads of many big companies of the world reached Beijing, the capital of China, and expressed their desire to invest in China and expand their companies extensively. Apple’s Tim Cook etc. were prominently involved in this. Besides, senior officials of the World Bank are also coming to China to express their confidence in the Chinese economy.

It can be said that foreign enterprises continue to have confidence in investing and working in China. Along with this, initiative is also being taken by China. According to the recent action plan, there is a need to work on attracting foreign investment more strongly. Besides, there is also a need to implement the new development concept properly. On the other hand, if we look at the data of the China Trade Promotion Association, we find that Chinese companies have been continuously engaged in foreign investment.

According to the report, there has been a steady growth of foreign investment of Chinese enterprises during the last one year. Not only this, more than 80 percent of the enterprises are willing to continue expanding foreign investment. The encouraging thing is that this is ten percent more than last year. At the same time, more than 90 percent of the companies are full of expectations regarding the possibilities of foreign investment. The measures and efforts being taken by China show that China is widening the doors of openness and is committed to creating a convenient environment for foreign companies.
