In October 2023, Huangling Village, located in Wuyuan County, Shangrao City, Jiangxi Province, southeast China, found its place on the United Nations World Tourism Organization’s list of “Best Tourism Villages.”

At Huangling Village, tourists can use the cable car and see the view of the mountain village from a height. Halfway up the mountain, there is the “Leishin Bridge Glass Walkway”. Walking on the swaying wooden bridges and glass walkways in the middle, one can enjoy the attractive green roofs and sea of flowers on both sides, here tourists have a different experience.
More than ten years ago, the local government of Wuyuan County carried out the protective development of Huangling Village. Villagers settled in new homes at the foot of the mountain, and the village’s collective land was developed and managed through enterprises for tourism. There are many Anhui-style shops on both sides of the approximately 500-meter long Tianye Road in the old village, such as teahouses, wine shops, book shops, ink shops, bamboo-strip shops, etc. Local people sell head garlands, fresh fruits, typical dishes to tourists. On this street, visitors eat delicious food, enjoy cultural objects and beautiful natural scenery.
Over the years, due to the combined development of culture and tourism, the income of Huangyuan villagers has increased significantly.
