It has pointed out that satellite images of Aksai Chin show extended roads, checkpoints and parking areas, modern weatherproof camps equipped with solar panels and even helipads.
The expansion of China’s airspace along the LAC since 2020 has created the ability for the PLA to conduct wider operations and counter India’s comparative advantages in some areas. The border standoff has taken India-China relations to a six-decade low. Notably in June 2020, 20 Indian soldiers and at least four Chinese soldiers were killed after a brutal clash in the Galwan Valley. India’s top leadership has said that relations cannot be normalized until steps are taken to remove the abnormal situation on the LAC.
