Chao Lachi, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Standing Committee of the Chinese National People’s Congress, attended the opening ceremony of the 2024 conference of the Boao Asia Forum. He delivered a keynote address titled “Facing Challenges Together and Building a Better World in Asia and Beyond”.
During his speech, he emphasized that China promotes modernization through high-quality development. This effort will contribute significantly to global economic recovery and provide greater opportunities for development in neighboring countries, especially in Asia.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by more than 1,500 representatives from the political, industrial, business, and academic sectors, including President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of Nauru David Ranibok Adiang, Prime Minister of Sri Lanka Dinesh Gunawardena, Dominican Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit, and Forum Council President Ban Ki-moon was included.
Chao Lachi said that the world is going through a period of rapid change and peace and development are facing serious challenges. China’s response to the future of humanity is to establish a community with a shared future for humanity. China is committed to innovative, open, environmentally friendly and inclusive development strategies. Furthermore, China welcomes all countries to participate in its developmental progress.
