Beirut (Uttam Hindu News): Lebanon-Two Hezbollah fighters were killed and five civilians were injured in clashes on the Israeli borders on Monday. This information was given by Xinhua on Tuesday quoting Lebanese military sources. The sources said the casualties were caused by heavy Israeli shelling of at least 21 border villages and towns in southern Lebanon and strikes by Israeli warplanes in several areas of southern Lebanon. Sources said seven houses were destroyed and 22 houses and five vehicles were damaged in the Israeli bombardment. Hezbollah also claimed that its fighters launched several attacks on Israeli targets, including buildings in the Miskav Am settlement, a gathering of Israeli soldiers at the Birkat Risha site, etc. According to Lebanese security sources, clashes between Hezbollah and Israel have left 177 people dead on the Lebanese side, including 126 Hezbollah members and 32 civilians.
