CMG’s exclusive interview with Zambian President Hakainde Hichilema – Dainik Savera Times

Zambian President Hakainde Hichilema paid a state visit to China from 10 to 16 September. Before meeting Chinese President Xi Jinping, he visited Shanchan City in Guangdong Province, Chingkangshan City in Jiangxi Province, Ningde City in Fujian Province, etc. to gain a deeper understanding of China’s social development.
Recently, in an exclusive interview with China Media Group (CMG), President Hichilema said he was very happy to pay a state visit to China.

He said that Shanchan city is a very important place. Because Shanchan provides a practical example of how the Chinese government has experimented with the special economic zone model by setting aside an area. As a part of China, Shanchan has achieved a lot of development, so he wants to learn from successful experiences. In his view, stable digital platforms are the cornerstone of economic development. That’s why he also visited Huawei and car company BYD.

Hichilema said everyone who studies the global situation understands that China has made great progress. The development model that China has chosen has given a completely new look to China and is commendable. This is what Zambia has come to learn, they feel it is very important.
On September 15, Chinese President Xi Jinping and Zambian President Hichilema agreed to expand relations between the two countries.

Announced the upgrade to a strategic cooperative partnership, opening a new chapter in China-Zambia friendship. During his six-day visit to China, President Hichilema continued to share on social media what he saw and heard. Zambian netizens also liked and commented on these posts.
