Congress wants to pass election bill by sitting on SP’s back in UP

Indi alliance’s campaign in Uttar Pradesh is not gaining momentum. The problem facing SP chief Akhilesh Yadav is that he is not able to decide his election line. At the same time, it is as if the Congress high command has forgotten UP. Probably the Congress Party and the Gandhi family have assumed that their political journey in UP will be completed sitting on the shoulders of SP. Congress is contesting elections on 17 seats in UP under the Indi alliance. In the 20219 Lok Sabha elections, the vote percentage of Congress in UP was 2.33 percent and Rae Bareli had only one seat. From where Sonia Gandhi was MP, she is now a member of Rajya Sabha. Congress will field a new candidate from Rae Bareli in place of Sonia Gandhi. Due to the weak campaign of the Indi alliance and the election campaign of the BJP on a war footing, it currently seems that the BJP has made a lot of progress through the campaign. On the day of counting of votes on June 4, we will know how much BJP’s hard work has paid off, but the contest on many seats seems to be close. BJP is also taking every step seriously. At the same time, SP-Congress also seem confident about their victory. However, the contest is going to be exciting on about two dozen seats including Amethi, Rae Bareli, Badaun, Ghoshi, Azamgarh, Rampur. It will not be easy for any political pundit to assess victory and defeat. Overall, due to the slowness of the Congress, even the Samajwadi Party’s campaign is not able to gain momentum whereas only ten days are left for the first phase of voting. Due to the attitude of the Congress, many senior SP leaders are angry with the Congress high command. These leaders say that the Congress wants to cross the election threshold by riding on the back of the SP.

BJP has set the target of winning 80 out of 80 seats in UP. However, it is difficult, if not impossible, for this to happen. Especially after the Indi alliance, it will not be so easy to achieve a clean sweep in UP. This time BJP will find it difficult to save the seat it has won. Winning the lost seats in 2019 is going to be a big challenge. However, BJP is also busy with its work and in the name of Modi-Yogi. In this election, there will be a do or die situation like the final of a cricket match in many other seats of UP. This time only the one who fights in the election battle will win. Candidates contesting elections relying on the wave may have to face tough challenges. If we talk about the most closely contested seats in UP, then the first and second names come to the fore are Amethi and Rae Bareli seats. The Amethi Lok Sabha seat is likely to have a close contest in the same situation as when Congress leader Rahul Gandhi contested the elections from Amethi. Amethi has been a stronghold of Congress and in the 2019 elections, Rahul Gandhi lost the election from Amethi. On the other hand, BJP has re-nominated sitting MP and Union Minister Smriti Irani as its candidate. The situation is that Congress has not even been able to announce the candidate yet. There is talk that Sonia Gandhi’s son-in-law and Priyanka Gandhi’s husband Robert Vadra may contest elections from Amethi. Even if Robert Vadra contests elections, it will be fight or die. It will be possible to say what the contest will be like only after the Congress candidate is declared on this seat. Similarly, Rae Bareli seat has been an impenetrable fort of Congress. Despite the Modi wave, BJP could not penetrate this fort of Congress in the 2014 and 2019 elections. This time Sonia Gandhi is not contesting the elections. There is still doubt as to who will contest the elections from Congress. If any member of the Gandhi family contests the elections then Congress can easily win this seat. If someone else gets the ticket then it will be difficult for Congress to save Rae Bareli. The election will be so thorny that it will be difficult for anyone to say anything before the results come. There is talk of Priyanka Gandhi contesting elections from here. If Priyanka contests the elections then the way for Congress will be cleared. Priyanka can spoil BJP’s Mission 80.

Mainpuri Lok Sabha seat is at number three. If BJP gives ticket to Netaji Mulayam Singh Yadav’s younger daughter-in-law Aparna Yadav on Mainpuri seat, which is considered to be SP’s stronghold, then the election is likely to be a close one. Otherwise, the results of the by-election held on this seat clearly indicate that this time too the results will be in favor of SP. Dimple Yadav will win the election easily. If Aparna contests the election, the fight will be very exciting, in that situation it will be very difficult to assess victory or defeat. Similarly, there will be a competition like situation only if SP chief Akhilesh Yadav contests the elections from Kannauj seat. Otherwise BJP’s Subrata Pathak will bloom. If Akhilesh contests, it will be like chewing iron gram for Subrata Pathak to win the election.

There is a possibility of tough competition this time on Badaun seat also. SP had given ticket to senior leader Shivpal Yadav, but now there is talk of his son Aditya contesting the elections from Badaun in his place. Whereas BJP has canceled the ticket of sitting MP Sanghamitra Maurya. This time BJP’s Durvijay Shakya will face competition from the Yadav clan. If Aditya contests the elections, then there will be an exciting contest on Badaun seat. It will not be possible to say anything till the last moment. On the other hand, there is going to be a fight or die on Ghoshi seat also. On the Azamgarh seat too, SP has fielded Dharmendra Yadav and given a tough competition to Dinesh Lal Nirahua. There may be a close contest on this seat which is the stronghold of SP.
