What are the symptoms?
The characteristics of the new variant of Corona are completely different from the previous forms. According to experts, the new form of corona is causing conjunctivitis or red eyes, especially in children younger than 12 years. Children may complain of high fever, cough, red eyes, itching and watery eyes. The symptoms of Arcturus can be similar to those of other viruses such as adenovirus, which is very common in the summer season in India.

According to experts other symptoms can be headache, sore throat, stuffy nose, fever and muscle pain. It can also affect the digestive system of the patient and cause diarrhoea. The new variant of Corona can be highly contagious. Professor Lawrence Young, a virologist at the University of Warwick, told The Independent that the new variant in India is a sign that ‘we are not out of danger’ and that ‘we will have to keep an eye on it’.
