Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Limited (CGCEL) has promoted Shantanu Khosla as Executive Vice-Chairman of the company. The company has appointed Promit Ghosh, former deputy head of Temasek India, as Managing Director (MD) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The company said in a statement that its current MD and CEO Matthew Job has resigned from his post. According to the statement, Khosla has been appointed as Executive Vice-Chairman from May 1, 2023 to April 30, 2024 and thereafter as Non-Executive Vice-Chairman till December 31, 2025. “He will step down as MD of the company on April 30, 2023,” the company said.
In his new role, Khosla will guide the new MD on strategic matters and assist in the integration of Crompton and Butterfly. CGCEL said Jobs will demit office as Executive Director on April 24, 2023 and as CEO on April 30, 2023. CGCEL said that while the appointment of Ghosh as the new MD and CEO of the company will be effective from May 1, 2023. He has been on the Board of Directors of the company since 2016.
