Union Labor Minister Bhupendra Yadav on Monday launched new facilities on the e-Shram Portal. There is a facility in this which will help in getting the information about the family of the migrant worker. With this, the family of the migrant labor can be given the benefit of children’s education and women-centric schemes. Registered workers can now connect with employment opportunities, skilling, apprenticeship, pension schemes, digital skills and schemes of states through the e-Shram Portal, said a labor ministry statement.
The new features added to the ISHRAM portal will enhance its utility and ease registration for unorganized sector workers. The ministry said that the facility to include the details of the family of the migrant worker has been added in the e-Labour portal. It has been told that this facility can help in providing the benefit of women-centric schemes for the education of the children of the workers who migrate with the family. Also a new feature has been added to share the data of construction workers registered on Eashram with the Building and Other Construction Workers (BOCW) Welfare Board. This will ensure registration of construction workers with the concerned BOCW board and ensure access to schemes meant for them. The Union Minister also formally launched the Data Sharing Portal (DSP) for sharing of Ishram data with States and Union Territories.
