He said wheat and other traditional crops have suffered a loss of about Rs 29.19 crore this season, while fruit plants and trees have suffered a loss of over Rs 18 lakh. Bairwa said that officials of both the departments have been asked to prepare a detailed ground report of the damage, based on which compensation can be given to the affected farmers and horticulturists by following crop insurance schemes and relief manuals.
