According to reports, a letter has been written to Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in this regard on behalf of Mukesh Singh, General Secretary of Bharatiya Immunity Mazdoor Sangh. Through this he has said that the allowances withheld from government employees and retired people during the pandemic should now be returned.

On January 25, detailed talks have been held regarding the arrears of Dearness Allowance (DA) to Central Government employees and pensioners.
