It was 138.4 in October which increased to 139.1 in November.
According to Harishankar Tiwari, if dearness allowance is calculated according to the November figures, it comes to about 49.66 percent. Even if there is no increase in it in December, the allowance of central employees will increase to 50 percent. At present, Central Government employees are getting dearness allowance at the rate of 46 percent.
How much will dearness allowance increase?
If the minimum basic salary of an employee is Rs 18,000, then the increase in dearness allowance by 4 percent will significantly increase his salary.
