Kabul/New Delhi, 21 January (HIST). The plane that crashed in Taliban-ruled Afghanistan is not from India. It is registered in Morocco. This plane was going from Thailand to Moscow. In some reports earlier this aircraft was described as Indian. After this, the Civil Aviation Ministry of India said that it is a small aircraft of DF-10 model. While going to Moscow, this plane was filled with fuel at Gaya Airport in India, but it is not an Indian plane.
According to the report of Afghanistan’s Tolo News, the plane lost its way due to a technical fault and crashed in the mountainous area of Jebag district of Badakhshan Khan Province of Afghanistan. It was reported that it was an Indian aircraft in Pakistan and Afghanistan. Regarding this, Taliban’s Transport and Aviation Minister Imamuddin Ahmadi said that this plane was a special jet of Russia. While going from Thailand to Moscow, the plane lost its way and reached Afghanistan.
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has confirmed that it is not an Indian aircraft. The crash in Afghanistan was neither an Indian scheduled aircraft nor a non-scheduled (NSOP)/charter aircraft. It is a DF-10 (Dassault Falcon) small aircraft registered in Morocco. Its capacity is to carry six passengers and crew members. It is operated as a chartered flight or air ambulance. However, its range is not very much. It cannot travel very long distances once filled with fuel. For this reason, while going from Thailand to Moscow, this plane was refueled at Gaya Airport in India, but it is not an Indian plane.
Zabihullah Amiri, head of Badakhshan’s information and culture department, said a team has been sent to the area to investigate. At present, information about the number of casualties in the accident is not available. Meanwhile, Russian aviation officials have said that the plane had disappeared from radar late Saturday evening. There were six people in it. This aircraft was Dassault’s Falcon 10 jet made in France. This charter plane was coming to Moscow from India via Uzbekistan.
