Dialogue for better relations between India-China

The recent in-depth talks between the foreign ministers of China and India on the sidelines of the G-20 foreign ministers have raised hopes of a new relationship between the two Asian superpowers. In diplomatic circles it is common to speak in signs. But the way the open talks between the two Foreign Ministers took place, it is being seen in India with hopeful eyes. During this conversation between the two foreign ministers, the manner in which both sides resolved to improve bilateral relations is commendable.
During the meeting, Chinese Foreign Minister Qin Gang made a big statement. He said that from the perspective of neighboring countries and major economies, China and India have far more common interests than differences. The Chinese Foreign Minister has also spoken very well about the development of India and China. Qin said that the speed of development of China and India reflects the strength of developing countries. He even said that one-third of the world’s population lives in these two countries. This population alone can change the future of the world.

Since there is a border dispute between India and China, the Chinese Foreign Minister very intelligently and tactfully raised that issue in the middle of the conversation. He indicated that this issue should not be raised at the cost of development. But he tried that the shadow of this dispute should not fall on development and mutual economic interests. In this meeting, Qin Gang hoped that India and China should look at their mutual relations from the point of view of future changes in the world in this century. This appeal of Qin Gang should also be seen in the context of the interests of the general public of both the countries, in which he has said that both the countries should move forward on the path of modernization. Qin Gang also said that the leaders of the two countries should maintain mutual agreement and maintain togetherness. The kind of appeal he made regarding the settlement of mutual disputes, it is natural to increase the expectations of those who want better relations.

Emphasis was also placed on the settlement of the mutual border dispute between the Foreign Ministers of India and China. The Foreign Minister of China made it clear to India that preparations for direct flight service between the two countries have been completed. Now India should move in this direction.
Since India and China have common interests in many areas. At the international level, according to their respective diplomatic interests, they are active in protecting the rights and interests of the developing countries of the world, promoting cooperation in South Asia and solving global challenges like climate change. The Chinese Foreign Minister stressed on cooperation and building better relations between the two countries in this regard as well.

India and China are the two great civilizations of the world. Referring to this, Indian Foreign Minister S Jaishankar also emphasized on improving the relations between the two countries. Despite mutual differences on some issues, both the superpowers of Asia have also achieved a lot on the front of economic and business cooperation. It is also necessary to look at the relations between the two countries from this point of view. However, in the present era, strategic importance has become more important. From this point of view, its stand was also kept from the Indian side. There is a platform like Shanghai Cooperation Summit between the two countries, but India wants that there should be an even better platform, which can promote better cooperation between the two countries. By the way, the way India has got China’s cooperation in the G-20, it has also helped in normalizing the situation between the two countries. Perhaps this is the reason why the Indian Foreign Minister thanked China for its support of India’s chairmanship of the G20 and its intention to maintain communication and coordination in multilateral affairs at the foreign ministers’ conference. It is to be hoped that such harmony will continue in the two old countries of the world.
