akistan political leader: links with many terrorist organizations
Mirza Shehzad Akbar, leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and former special assistant to the Prime Minister, had claimed last week that there would have been an uproar at his home in Britain. Hallekhorani family members would have thrown acid. Responding to a question regarding this matter, Foreign Office spokesperson Mumtaz Zehra Baloch said, “There is no involvement of Pakistan or Pakistani agencies in this attack. It is not our policy to target our own citizens abroad. However, many government dissidents have taken shelter in the government. They have been available in Britain and other countries around the world for decades. “Many of them have links with terrorist organizations in Pakistan.”
