Eka Mobility bags order for 310 electric buses from CESL

New Delhi (Best Hindu News): Electric vehicle and technology company and Eka Mobility, a subsidiary of Pinnacle Industries Limited, recently concluded tender for 6465 electric buses of Convergence Energy Services Limited to purchase, operate and maintain 310 electric vehicles on gross cost contract got the contract.
The company said in a statement issued here today that the tender was floated by Convergence Energy Services Limited under the National E-Bus Program Phase 1. Eka’s e-buses will be deployed by Transport Department Haryana, Transport Department, Arunachal Pradesh, Kerala State Road Transport Corporation for intra-city operations as part of Government’s efforts to provide clean, sustainable and efficient transport option to lakhs of people .
The company said that for 12 years, these 310 electric buses are expected to reduce CO2 emissions by 140,000 tonnes over 12 years. With this order, Eka’s order book has grown significantly with more than 500 electric buses and more than 5000 electric light commercial vehicle orders pending.
