The court filing details the costs associated with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and Department of Justice (DOJ) investigations. However, it has not been told that the investigation was related to the case and whether it is still going on or not. Aggarwal and Ned Siegel appeared before the SEC last year. He is still engaged with federal authorities, according to court documents. The SEC is investigating whether Musk followed securities regulations when he bought a large number of Twitter shares.

Vijaya Gadde, who was the Chief Legal Officer of Twitter, had to appear in the Parliament hearing. Musk released Twitter files last year regarding the content of Twitter. Gadde was produced in this case. Aggarwal, Gadde and Siegel say that according to the agreements Twitter has to pay their bill but the company has not done so till now. Musk struck a deal in April to buy Twitter for $44 billion but then backed out. Musk completed the deal when Twitter threatened to go to court.
