At that time Musk had said that he planned to visit India in 2024. He also expressed confidence that Tesla will soon enter the Indian market. Under this, import duty concessions will be given to companies setting up manufacturing units in the country with a minimum investment of $500 million. The aim of this move is to attract major global companies like Tesla.
