According to the US Food and Drug Administration, Global Pharma Healthcare is recalling the entire consignment of its medicine delivered in the US. The company is alleged that people lost their eyesight after putting their medicine, while one died. After this news, the central agency also swung into action. 55 cases surfaced
The US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) in a statement said it is recalling ‘Artificial Tears Lubricant’ eye drops being distributed at the consumer level by Chennai-based company EasyCare, LLC and Delsam Pharma due to possible contamination. To date, there have been 55 cases of eye damage, including eye infection, permanent loss of vision and one death from a bloodstream infection, the statement said.
What did the company say?
The company said in a statement posted on its website that it has informed the distributors of this product, Aru Pharma Inc. and Delsam Pharma, and is requesting that wholesalers, retailers and customers who also have it (return being taken) product they stop using it.
